Through her exploration of flamenco and its connection to the subtle body (the heart and mind bodies), Eve Costarelli's dancing personifies the power and stillness held within the music of Spanish gypsies. Ms. Costarelli provides educational and experiential flamenco performances and workshops throughout New England.Eve specializes in building harmonious yogic practices for each client, all ages, all abilities, for one-on-one yoga session for either self study or to develop your own teaching skills. Eve loves designing personal practices that will enhance your quality of life.Practitioners are welcome on a mat, in a chair, however you need it. Through movement, music and words, Eve Costarelli traces the origins of this emotive form from India to Andalusia. In addition to Flamenco’s rich history, students will learn about compás (rhythm) tacaneo (footwork) and the communication between dancer and guitarist. Lead Youth Mindfulness Program Leader For Nourishing Teachers, Strengthening Classrooms ProjectOpen Spirit Center Apr 2014 - PresentFramingham, MaI bring mindfulness and yoga into the public schools of Framingham Massachusetts through Framingham's own Open Spirit Center's Nourishing Teachers, Strengthening Classrooms project. I support both typical and special ability students and their teachers in the K-12 classrooms. I recently conducted a workshop for Fuller Middle school teachers, administrators and aides, “An Introductory Toolkit of Yoga and Mindfulness Strategies for the Classroom Teacher,” In this workshop, I shared ideas for teachers to begin to develop more focus, reduce stress, and create more nourishing classroom climates for themselves and their students. This project also has me at elementary schools, the K-5 and the middle school level social skill summer programs for youth with special abilities, the Early Childhood Alliance of Framingham and various other community endeavors.
