Synthesized reactive polymers and studied their interactions with single walled carbon nanotubes as a student in the Adronov Group.

Aided in marking assignments, lab reports, and exams, as well as instructed and led wet lab skills to 15-40 undergraduate students.

I worked at ARLANXEO as an undergraduate chemistry intern in Research and Development. I had the opportunity to work extensively with a glovebox, stereomicroscopes, microwave synthesizer, viscometer, and conduct halogenation reactions and pH testing under strained conditions.

Managed 5 teams under the Communications umbrella: The Science Communications Committee, the Current (the SSC newsletter), the videography team, the photography team, and the SSC website team. Held regular meetings with the other executives of the Science Students’ Council, the Deans of Science, helped lead the council meetings at large, and attended individual team meetings. Aided in the planning and management of all 5 teams, as well as coordinated with other Faculty Councils to promote inter-faculty events. Was involved in the planning of major student events (e.g. OWeek, Frost Week Concert, Clubs Week, etc). Involved in the planning and promotions of major Council related events such as nominations of new council members and their elections, announcing the start of campaigns, and informing major changes to the council and the by-laws.

In the Banerjee lab I worked on several research projects related to the mining industry as a project manager, as well as a supporter. I had the opportunity to use several beamlines from a synchrotron, a particle accelerator, to inspect different aspects of ancient coins and mineral samples and analyze the data. I aided in the production of the WIL at Western promotional video and also created the foundation for his website, neilbanerjee.ca.

Managed and coordinated a team of 15 to create promotional material such as graphics, animations, videos, photographs, digital watermarks, infographics, and more. Planned the release of promotional material and social media drops, and coordinated in-person advertising events and other news from the Science Students’ Council.

Created graphics and promotional material, as well as aided in photography and videography for the Science Students’ Council at Western University towards the greater Science and Medical Science faculties.
