I am an experienced ICU Registry Nurse with a strong background in intensive care nursing and patient record auditing; currently working towards my Master of Public Health. Holding a Bachelor of Social Science, Master of Nursing Science, and Graduate Certificate in Nursing (Intensive Care), I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my current role at Alfred Health. My clinical experience includes exceptional care of critically ill patients, and leadership roles. Beginning my career in the Graduate Nurse Program at The Alfred, I worked in Acute Medicine before transitioning to Intensive Care. After CCRN postgraduate training, I progressed to be recognised as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. Subsequently, I worked in an Associate Nurse Unit Manager position, where I worked primarily in the Trauma pod of the ICU, overseeing 13+ patients with state service provision of major complex trauma care to critical patients. In this role I provided senior oversight to patient care, facilitated communication between multidisciplinary healthcare staff, and ensured timely access and flow. My dedication to quality care, continuous learning, and collaborative teamwork has made me a standout healthcare professional. My current role includes auditing ICU patient records, critical analysis to extract data for submission to the ANZICS CORE Registries, completing data requests for medical and senior nursing staff, and contributing data to quality monitoring and research initiatives. This role has also included preparation of activity reports to monitor KPI performance.Observing the impact of premorbid conditions and clinical frailty, and their influence on critical illness trajectory, has led to my interest in population health and preventable illness. My Master of Public Health studies has included units in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health fundamentals and research methods, professional practice development and health promotion and program planning. Currently, I am completing an Industry Placement at Monash University School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, where I have joined a collective impact health promotion campaign, and have been project manager in the development of a health promotion resource. In this role, I have gained experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods, development of a health promotion asset, project management and project planning skills.Collaborative, adaptable, and eager to bring my background and skills to projects to improve health outcomes.
