As Program Director at Coaching4Change, I manage partnerships with districts, schools, and community organizations. I also lead training and development for mentors and coaches. Coaching 4 Change is a non-profit that recruits, trains, and places diverse college students in K-12 schools to support academics, social emotional learning, enrichment, and family engagement through near-peer mentoring.For the past 11 years, I worked as a middle school math and English teacher, Academic & Culture Dean, and Head of School. As Head of School, I led staff and students through COVID-19, including the transition between distance and in-person learning. I also have experience with:-Coaching instructional leaders to build the capacity of staff-Leading school-wide initiatives including DEI professional development, Building schedules, MTSS, district & state assessments, PBIS & restorative practices implementation, Circles SEL curriculum, and Curriculum shifts to support stronger alignment to CCSS-Evaluating and providing instructional coaching including real-time and lesson plan feedbackI graduated from Clark University in 2010 with a degree in Psychology and concentrations in Peace and International Studies. In 2011, I completed my Master of Arts in Teaching with a specialization in Urban Education at Clark. I have done research on profiling non-violence in the Worcester Public Schools, and the restructuring of urban schools. Previously, I worked for the Public Defender Service in Washington, D.C. and in Rhode Island at the Probation and Parole Offices of Pawtucket and Central Falls. I am an accomplished musician and have directed youth choruses in both Worcester and Pawtucket.
