Flight Attendant
My time as a flight attendant taught me more skills than I would have imagined. Playing roles as a teacher, therapist, fire fighter, safety professional, babysitter, waitress- you name it- it's been done, and it was a blast. I learned how to go with the flow of a very sporadic schedule and to be able to quickly change plans during irregular operations. Connecting with people during their travel that is supporting some of the best and worst times of their lives was extremely fulfilling. Time management, interpersonal relations, working both autonomously and alongside an ever changing crew, learning software systems, and teaching/enforcing safety procedures were some of the most important skills I practiced.
