Produce books, reports, infographics, articles and resources for a general audience based on original analysis of quantitative and qualitative research. Hired by the editor-in-chief to launch Barna’s now-profitable in-house publishing enterprise. Responsible for creating the “Barna voice”—rigorous, trustworthy, conversational, actionable—and house style. Wrote or managed content creation for 27 (and counting) titles and dozens of ancillary assets, including expert interviews, video scripts, data visualizations, study guides, presentation slides and PR materials.

Collaborated with authors and publishers to produce press-ready manuscripts, from conceptual and structural development, through writing, copyediting and proofreading, to design and packaging. Credits include books, curricula, reports, and print and web articles. Created copy for catalogs, marketing collateral and packaging for publishers, designers and other clients.

Edited books and curricula according to CMOS and house styles. Managed production in support of the managing editor, coordinating designers, proofreaders and vendors. Teamed with acquisitions to develop 60+ titles per year. Wrote freelance features for national websites and magazines.
