Alyma is a senior legal counsel specialized in business law, financing law and taxation.Alyma has proven experience in the field of sovereign funds investments and previously worked for the Senegalese Sovereign Fund for Strategic Investments(FONSIS) on transactions related to health, mining, agribusiness, energy, PPPs, fundraising and infrastructures. She has a solid knowledge of the legislative and regulatory texts governing the activities of companies, particularly in Africa. Alyma participated in the structuring of the Djibouti Sovereign Fund (FSD) in which she acted as Legal Counsel and contributed to the structuring of the fund and its subsidiaries, the drafting of the procedures manual (Governance - Risk - Compliance) and the study of various projects. The Fund has USD 1.5 Billion, serves as tool for growth, employment and fostering reserves creation for future generation.Alyma has also acquired knowledge of corporate and transactions taxation through her experience at KPMG Senegal, which allows her to combine her legal eye with a tax-based approach to improve the compliance of the companies she assists. Her preference for the financial field has led her to move into the financial markets sector to broaden her experience and skills.
