My nursing and informatics expertise spans cardiac care, medical/surgical care, and high-risk pregnancies, where I have honed my clinical skills and at the same time, became adept as an end user and superuser of these areas' specialized technologies.As a Registered Nurse at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre for 15 years, I provided high-quality, patient-centred care to women and their families in the Labour & Delivery and Postpartum units. I have also worked as System Administrator, involving the implementation and administration of Intellispace Perinatal, a software system that supports the documentation and management of perinatal data. With a Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing and another one in Health and Physical Education from University of Toronto, as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Health Informatics from George Brown College, I have a strong foundation in both clinical and digital health domains. My passion lies in harnessing technology to elevate patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction. I am dedicated to enhancing workflow efficiency and fostering collaboration among healthcare professionals through digital solutions. Additionally, I firmly believe in maintaining a strong nursing presence within the realm of digital health to ensure that the patient's perspective and care remain at the forefront of innovation. My long term aspiration is to further expand my skills and expertise in digital health and contribute to the innovation and transformation of the healthcare industry.
