Alysa is a creative soul with passions and training in numerous areas. She is currently working as the Creative Director and Competition Dance Director with Studio H Dance Company in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Alysa has been associated with the dance industry for over twenty years starting in dance at the age of four. She has had extensive training in modern, contemporary, ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, and musical theatre. Alysa has danced in the competitive field of dance as well as in the college realm. She began her choreography career at the young age of fifteen; she was an assistant dance instructor for six years starting at age eleven and at fifteen started teaching various styles of dance. Alysa is graduated in Spring of 2022 with her Bachelor of Arts in Dance with Minors in Psychology and Health Science from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She has taught for different groups including a co-op, a private school, and studios in Arkansas as well as choreographed for them. She has choreographed for recreational, competitive, and collegiate dance and her choreography has won multiple high point, overall, and judge’s choice awards on regional and national levels. Her self-directed and produced dance film, A Bright, Sunny Day, was chosen to be featured in the 2021 May Dance Film Fest with Rogue Dancer. One of her biggest passions is getting to instill the love of the arts and their many mediums into everyone she meets and her students. Alysa loves choreographing and teaching and strives to continually grow daily in the art of creativity, exploration, and intentionality.
