About Alysa Guyer
I love people and I enjoy working directly with the public. I have a lot of experience in customer service in different fields. I have experience in the service industry, primarily bartending and barista work, but also some serving, food running and food and beverage prep. I am methodical about keeping my area clean and stocked. I love working with my hands creatively in any way, making quality beverages and food, and having fun.I am also passionate about health and wellness. I want to facilitate healing for individuals and groups. I believe that we can change the world by helping people reclaim their health and helping them cultivate wellness. I truly believe this is not only my passion but my calling. I love people, animals, plants and planet earth and it is my mission to nurture and care for others with compassion in everything I do. I started out in life as a sort of creative oddball. Growing up I wanted to be an actor and I loved dance and music and art. I am very imaginative and naturally creative. I wanted to go to art school but coming from a low income background I was worried about finding a stable career. I did the early college program at the School of the Art institute and it was a really amazing experience. I then considered going to school for writing or journalism because that is another strength I have. I received a college recommendation letter from my AP English teacher. Ultimately going to college for what I loved wasn't an option for me. Around that time I began to consider a career in Massage Therapy, which was something I had always been interested in since childhood, along with alternative medicine in general and healing remedies, herbs and foods. In my experience working for Chiropractors, Acupuncturists, and Massage Therapists, I became even more interested and passionate about health. I've always been fascinated by the body and anatomy since childhood and at first it manifested in my artwork, enjoying figure drawing and copying anatomical images for practice. It is my current wish to find a way to bring together all my passions and live a life that is both creative and healing for myself and everyone who crosses my path. I believe that when we use our natural gifts we are doing the highest form of service to the world, and it is my personal ambition to do that every day.
