COMET Auckland - Te Hononga Akoranga is an Auckland Council Controlled Organisation (CCO) and Charitable Trust focused on achieving educational and social systems change. This is achieved by identifying barriers to equal educational opportunity, securing funding, and designing and incubating projects that can be adopted and rolled out by larger organisations at a regional or national level. The Youth Employability Programme (YEP) is one such project, designed to support rangatahi to develop the transferable skills they will need to succeed in the twenty-first century employment landscape. I am deeply grateful to have led, scaled and handed over implementation of the YEP in Auckland to Youthtown Inc. who will continue this important kaupapa. Key responsibilities of the Coordinator role:- Design and operationalise a plan to scale the YEP by at least 15% (2 - 3 programmes) per year in areas of highest need across the region.- Build YEP brand reputation and awareness across the education and business sectors as a solution to bridge the 'education-to-employment gap'.- Establish strategic partnerships with government agencies, educators, service providers and businesses to strengthen the employability eco-system, influence best-practice and improve youth employment outcomes.- Shape and chair the YEP Auckland Steering Group who contribute to setting and achieving strategic objectives.- Recruit, train and lead a team of contracted facilitators to deliver the YEP. - Support the development/improvement of the YEP learning resources.- Provide training and mentoring to all YEP delivery partners to ensure high quality programme delivery and the achievement of programme outcomes.

Faculty Of Culture And Society

Working with senior leaders, academic and administrative staff, and service divisions across AUT to develop effective student recruitment strategy for the Faculty of Culture & Society.Key responsibilities of the Student Engagement and Recruitment Manager role:- Build Faculty brand awareness to increase applications and enrolments.- Work alongside the Faculty SLT and the four Schools to strengthen the Faculty's overarching brand and their respective recruitment strategies.- Work closely with the Admissions, Marketing and Communications departments to inform and implement strategies (e.g. promotional campaigns).- Work closely with the Faculty Registrar and four School administration teams to implement/refine systems and processes to support the student journey.- Oversee the Faculty's Web Coordination strategy.- Coordinate Faculty involvement in university events.

Schools Partnership Office

Supporting the team of Schools Advisers to meet University and Departmental student recruitment KPI's by offering exceptional service to secondary schools, prospective students and their key influencers.Key responsibilities of the Senior School Adviser role:- Promote the University as a study destination of choice for school leavers.- Develop and operationalise an implementation plan to achieve annual student recruitment targets.- Coordinate closely with the SPO Director, SPO Administration and SPO Schools Adviser teams to ensure smooth execution of the plan.- Support the team of Schools Advisers to implement these strategies in their allocated regions.- Support the development of a high-performing team culture and employee wellbeing through ongoing training, mentoring and performance management processes.- Maintain relationships with secondary schools nation-wide through SPO communications and coordination of on-brand conferences/events.- Develop learning and promotional presentations and resources.- Maintain strong working relationships with all faculties and departments to ensure the consistent and accurate flow of information and updates.- Feed into university admissions, marketing and recruitment strategies based on stakeholder experience and feedback.- Case manage secondary schools in the wider Wellington region.

Supporting secondary school students to find the most suitable educational pathway based on their skills, interests and future lifestyle preferences.Key responsibilities of the Schools Adviser role:- Implementing the SPO strategy in assigned region(s).- Managing relationships with a case load of 50+ Careers Advisers.- Coordinating and delivering promotional presentations.- Coordinating and providing student course selection advice.- Coordinating attendance and representing UoA at regional Careers Expos.- Supporting Auckland-based recruitment events.
