Training Designer accountable for the design and development of innovative methods of all learning material, compatible with the new technologies and operating principles introduced to London Underground. Achievements• Collaborative working on Fit for the Future stations project. Researching the role of Change Champions, before designing, piloting and delivering an active training programme, encompassing the new IT solutions that will support staff to be more mobile whilst serving our customers. • Expanding my knowledge of company by volunteering on the pan-TFL Safeguarding working group. I am consulting on the new TFL Safeguarding policy, ensuring Skills Development are contributing to the creation of a framework to protect our most vulnerable customers. • Evaluating all Security training, reviewing whether it is fit for purpose, whilst working with the Network Security team to design upgraded Security training for all grades of station staff. Designed an integrated session for the Area Managers, combining content from the British Transport Police, Department of Transport and TFL, to deliver a seamless introduction to the current security challenges our company is facing. • Utilising my own experience of Enterprise Social Networks to launch Yammer across my function. I worked with the Head of Skills Development and the Communications team to trial an initial Yammer group for Training Designers. Following the success of the trial, I upskilled Senior Managers and drafted a communication and launch plan to share Yammer with all of Skills Development. Our All Skills Development group launched this year, and already has more than 100 active users, meeting the business need and acting upon Viewpoint feedback that our team would like to collaborate more.

Training Manager, accountable for designing the training strategy and materials for all UK based food colleagues in stores. I designed and delivered the trial and implementation of Produce Academies, an industry recognised training programme, developed as a result of customer insight. I designed an industry accredited training course for our Butchers and Fishmongers, which is delivered in collaboration with our suppliers. I am also responsible for designing and managing the long term roadmap food training, making sure our training delivers on both key customer and business objectives. Achievements• Produce Academy training programme – 8,000 Produce Colleagues and 1,000 Produce Managers trained by specially selected Produce Coaches• Cannes Media and TV Film award won for the Produce Academy training film• Produce Academy training model being used as a blueprint for Tesco International training plan• Designed bespoke recruitment process to select the 23 Produce Academy Coaches• Created and delivered an intensive training programme for Produce Academy Coaches• Reached 1000 Butchers and Fishmongers trained through the Gold training course, accredited by the National Federation of Fishmongers• Recruited and trained a central communications team, delivering all Food Communication to UK stores and teams across the business• Created communications and tracking tools which engaged stores and helped them deliver their training objectives • Working with UK Personnel and retail leadership team to design and implement a training sustainability plan for all stores and build a high support plan for those who need additional support to deliver KPIs • Managed significant UK training budget, delivered all projects within budgetWorking within the Food Operations team, has allowed me to maintain the relationships I have built within the UK Personnel team, whilst working more closely with Retail Operations teams, suppliers and external trainer groups.

Project Manager for one of Tesco’s key Business Plan objectives of the year, transforming the Stores Group role structure.The project had three core elements to it; reviewing the existing Group Managers’ structure, designing the new structure and building supporting material and a sustainability plan to enable effective delivery of the new structure.Achievements• Built new format of structure review, which is now used across the business• Redefined the way the business lands structure changes, utilising 45 day consultation periods for the first time during a role review process• Created bespoke structure review material for the business to use, delivering a consistent message to all colleagues under review • Structured and delivered synchronised communications, so that all colleagues under review were communicated to consistently • Successfully planned the project and managed all stakeholders to meet milestones • The structure review was delivered within timelines, the new structure was well received by stores

The programme delivered significant investment into stores, focused on training, operational standards and customer service.
