At Apple, the role of a Product Manager includes both product management and product marketing. The combination of inbound strategy and outbound positioning was exciting, challenging, and rewarding because it required me to bring my curious nature to work.I served as the customer voice during product development while working with Apple’s engineering and design teams; then created the product story at launch, speaking directly to media and customers about why our products matter. Some highlights: - Responsible for discerning new product areas to assist in development of product line strategy for Apple’s Developer Tools and Augmented Reality (AR) products, acting as the voice of the customer throughout product development for products like Apple Vision Pro, ARKit, RealityKit, and more- Responsible for marketing Apple’s products in communication of broad, market independent messages; develops launch story for new Apple products and reviews marketing materials such as webpages, press releases, data sheets and collateral- Analyze competitive products to assess the impact on Apple’s product strategy; conducts competitive analysis through product evaluation, research, and direct customer engagement- Expand outbound marketing through the introduction of new programs and methods of outreach to customers in Apple field in collaboration with Apple Sales and Developer Relations teams- Represent Apple in press engagements; conducts in-person and remote product demos, sharing product story and specifications to international consumer and technical press audiences for Apple’s hardware and software product launches
