I graduated from University of Wisconsin Stout in December 2014 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Vocational Rehabilitation with a Concentration in Transitional Services. I want to provide Independence with a smooth transition process to individuals with disabilities and their families. From presenting families the different choices they have or could look into for their family member. Enhance the consumer’s soft skills to increase self-awareness and help clients to be prepared in job readiness out in the community. I want to help gain more access out in the community to increase employment rates. Another, aspect of Transition I encourage is creating independent living when appropriate. Before working with my future consumers building rapport with my clients is the first key topic I want to create, and then move on targeting the services that would be appropriate for the specific individuals. • Sincere interest in working with children and adults with disabilities• Conscientious and hard working with a positive attitude• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and collaboratively• Personal experience helping family members with Down’s syndrome, William’s syndrome, learning disabilities, and epilepsy.
