Served for 5+ years on the Arkansas Dental Hygienists Association Board. I am currently serving as President and am working on legislative efforts for Arkansas to join the dentist and dental hygienists licensure compact. Skilled in Dental Prophylaxis, Nonsurgical Periodontal Therapy, Public Speaking, Local Anesthesia, Nitrous Oxide, and Microsoft Products, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental and QSI softwares. Strong healthcare services professional with a background of teaching dental hygiene students. I taught at the UAFS Dental Hygiene Program for 3.5 years. I taught the following courses: Preclinic Theory, Preclinic, Clinic 1 Theory, Clinic 1, Head and Neck Anatomy, Periodontology 1, Periodontology 2, Oral Pathology, Dental Materials, Clinic 2, and Clinic 3. I served as the infection control coordinator. As faculty, we frequently updated policy and procedures based on current CDC, ADA, and ASBDE recommendations. Through my experience with teaching, I used this as an opportunity to speak to local dental hygienists about dental hygiene changes and trends. The topics covered included silver diamine fluoride and 2017 periodontal classifications.
