Responsible for the smooth operation of Guest Services department in two separate locations, I consistently juggled competing demands, deadlines and challenges with efficiency and professionalism. Managing up to 25 staff and servicing up to 4000 guests per day, I confidently managed a busy workload to meet the demands of the business and customer expectations. I was responsible for the operating float and safe for the mountain and liaised closely with accounting to reconcile daily transactions, using problem solving and analytical skills to investigate discrepancies and provide explanations and reports to support daily operations of the department.

Providing support to the line manager of the membership team, I was responsible for maintaining the project/section budget, liaising closely with Finance to ensure that spend was correctly represented in the General Ledger. This role was varied and required much autonomy. As requested, I booked appropriate meeting rooms and training facilities, organised travel, accommodation, and catering for training seminars, conferences and meetings and interviews. Every month, I produced a variety of reports, generated from the membership database, and manipulated the data using Microsoft Excel to create graphs, tables and analysis for use by other internal departments.

Working closely with Credit Teams, I was responsible for altering client accounts using a variety of internal databases and processing systems. Before changes were actioned, I reviewed all supporting documentation and recommendations made by the credit team to ensure the correct changes were being made. This role involved a high volume of precise data entry as I was making changes to client sensitive data that could have financial repercussions for the business if not actioned accurately. As such, I cross-checked other team members work daily before final submission to online portals and before confirmation letters were sent out.

This role was fast-paced, highly stressful and required consistent diligence and excellent time management to process extreme volumes of data and large sums of money. My team was responsible for transferring funds to solicitors across Australia on the day of settlement. This was a multi-faceted process involving many different systems and procedures. As our work was deemed as 'urgent' all day, every day, it was imperative that our team worked closely, sharing information throughout the day so as not to miss any settlements. My day consisted of cross-checking internal databases with paperwork provided by our solicitors, liaising closely with external brokers and solicitors to effect settlement, confirming details with credit and reviewing reports to ensure data validity, and manual processing of accounts and funds when encountering system errors. I also helped manage and respond to the team inbox, receiving a high volume of data, booking requests, and queries on a daily basis.
