Combs Cancer Center

I joined Dr. Plattner's lab in September as a high school student to learn various laboratory techniques and better understand the career I hoped to achieve. My primary project in the laboratory was to test various combinations of on-the-market cancer drugs against different cancer cell lines to determine whether certain unions of the drugs were synergistic. While there, I accumulated many skills, including pipetting, cell cultures, plating, blots, and assays.
