I work closely with the Head of Art to manage the day to day running of the art room; prepare for lessons; manage stock and order supplies; maintain and change displays for the art room and some around school; help to plan; source and acquire resources.

I was employed as a Pupil Support Worker in a special needs school. This involves working with small groups of pupils or on a 1:1 basis to ensure they can access the curriculum. Their needs vary from EBD right through to autistic spectrum. The age range is form 6 - 18 years of age. I also have to adapt to any given situation which may arise including covering staff, covering lessons and working on the residential units.

Calne

Summerfun in Calne Playscheme has been running in the school summer holidays for 17 years, and I have been the Playleader for the last 12. We run for 4 weeks in the summer holidays; the first 2 weeks on one side of Calne and the second 2 weeks on the other. The aim is to provide the children of Calne with affordable, accessible and safe play for at least some of their summer holidays. We have funding to secure 2 Inclusion workers each year,this means that we can accommodate children with additional needs; the Playscheme prides itself in being all inclusive. The Playscheme can accommodate up to 80 children a day and each year has serviced at least 280 different children over the 4 weeks that we run.
