In this roll, I am responsible for teaching 250 students between Marching Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and AP Music Theory. I coordinate summer fitness and fundamental camps. I assist with the Wind Ensemble and Musical Pit Orchestra. Further responsibilities include coordinating calendars across the Fine Arts Department, maintain program inventory, submitting transportation requests, purchasing, coordinating the private lesson program, coordinating outside clinics and performances. I also manage and plan performance tours, manage fundraiser distribution/collection, provide volunteer service opportunities for students, collaboration with the Band Booster program, communication with all stakeholders via multiple platforms (newsletters, email, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook), audio record concert performances.• Played a vital role in developing a successful band program by: ensuring high and consistent performance standards by students, holding consistent professional learning community gatherings to discuss performance data and address areas of success and areas of improvement.• Developed and collaborated on a simplified and reliable online registration for each school year.• Constant data analysis to meet diverse student learning needs.• Increased ensemble performance in the bands to achieve UIL Sweepstakes awards and increased 1 ratings in the Marching and Concert Bands, consistent Area finalist, as well as increased student success in the UIL Solo & Ensemble Contest.• Successfully improved and collaborated on an aligned curriculum for AP Music Theory resulting in increased enrollment and passing rates.• Effectively assisted performance scheduling and backstage management for the Bass Hall Performance Showcase, as well as guest conducted the Wind Ensemble.• Assisted in establishing the Tri-M National Music Honor Society and serving as the co-sponsor.
