About Alyson Iovacchini, M.Ed.

As an accomplished Principal Resident, Instructional Coach, and STEM Director with 15 years of experience in STEM education and school leadership, I have explored multiple domains throughout my career–from inspiring young minds as a science educator; mentoring future innovators in SeaPerch and FIRST robotics programs, and city-wide/regional science fairs; designing and constructing science labs, robotics labs, and maker spaces; writing STEM curriculum and STEM program development; offering instructional coaching to educators; and successfully leading multiple schools to achieve significant transformational changes and academic improvements, while cultivating positive school cultures through my experiences in urban school leadership. Holding a Master’s in Science and Mathematics Education, combined with significant experience in grant writing, establishing award-winning robotics programs in public and charter schools, and collaborating with community organizations and universities, I have been tirelessly committed to reshaping the educational landscape in the Philadelphia region for the past 15 years.I strongly believe that education is a powerful tool for unlocking human potential and promoting freedom. Every interaction with a young person showcases their innate abilities, and it is our responsibility as educators to work diligently and thoughtfully to help them realize this potential. I am dedicated to creating equitable learning environments where every student can explore their passions, experience the joy of discovery, and embark on a lifelong journey of learning.
