*Responsible for a residential area that housed approximately 430 students.*Immediately supervised 16 undergraduate student staff members.*Responsibilities included: community development, retention, Residence Assistant (RA) recruitment, programming, education, advising, supervision of student staff, conflict mediation and resolution, policy enforcement, review of judicial cases, 24-hour on-call coverage and response to campus incidents, emergencies, and student crises.*Advised two student organizations: Resident Assistant Motivation Committee (RAMC) and Residence Hall Association (RHA)

• Organized and managed the Resident Assistant exit interview process. • Led the R.A.V.E Committee (Respond to Acts of Violence Effectively). Collaborated with campus partners to educate the campus community about various forms of violence including hazing, bullying, sexual abuse, harassment, and stalking. Students learned about bystander interventions and how to impact the campus environment in a positive way. • Collaborated with the Academic and Career Advising Center and the Digital Education Center to provide a workshop based on career objectives for student employees. Specifically focused on utilizing technology in the job search. Resume, cover letter, and interviewing information was provided.

• Assisted students with administrative procedures for admissions, registration and petition requirements.• Counseled students on graduate school programs, policies and procedures. • Evaluated academic records, background and experience of all applicants to graduate school; reviewed applications to determine eligibility for admission; monitored all graduate school and department standards and prerequisites in order to ensure that applicants met criteria.• Initiated and composed individual correspondence to students/applicants.• Researched and resolved unusual or complex problems and requests concerning graduate students, contacting the necessary department and/or student as needed. • Worked closely with campus partners to coordinate and design graduate student programs including new student orientation, graduate commencement, graduate recognition awards, and various campus events.• Utilized Microsoft Office Suite, Banner, and NOLIJ for a majority of daily tasks.
