Hi! I'm Aly,I'm interested in understanding how to create a better quality of life for communities through idea sharing, innovation, and local agency.Throughout college I garnered experience in the non-profit world managing Saving Lives Camarillo, a youth substance use disorder prevention 501(c)(3) non-profit. I worked with the OUHSD and PVSD school districts and District Office of Behavioral Health to create new policies, student programs, and events. On the side, I also did marketing for Future Laboratories 501(c)(3), a nonprofit that focuses on STEAM events for youth and robotics education/pathways to careers in US defense systems. After college I set off for Madagascar as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Education sector. I served in Madagascar from 2022-23 and worked with USAID, the US Embassy, and regional governments. During my time abroad, I became involved in rural water systems and construction through interning at Tatirano Social Enterprise and was inspired to co-found Zarasoa, a non-profit focused on expanding rainwater harvesting in Madagascar while bringing more women into the construction field.
