Temporary administrator during a working holiday. The Warehouse is New Zealand’s largest, non-food, retailer, with over 100 stores across the country. Role began as holiday cover, with a later extension to assist the team during a busy period. Duties included processing new loyalty business customer accounts, updating management reports for weekly meetings and offering support for the team as required.Good attention to detail and an ability to learn quickly was essential.

This role includes co-ordinating Training courses across the UK, which train up professionals who work with children or young people with additional support needs to become Sleep counsellors for those with sleep problems. It involves contacting potential delegates and advertising courses via the website and in various bulletins.During the courses, I am on hand to support speakers and delegates to ensure the courses run smoothly.

Working with tutors to organise BSL, Deaf Awareness and other related courses. I also co-ordinated the organisation’s Multimedia Translation work. Over my time at Deaf Action, I provided support for the Social Care, Finance and Social Enterprise departments at a charitable organisation that works with Deaf and hard of hearing people across Scotland. Thisinvolved conversing with service users to aid the provision of Specialist Equipment and dealing with enquiries that come into Reception. I spent a year assisting the Social Enterprise team, creating marketing materials, generating business development opportunities and attending networking events.
