Alyson is the Contracts Administrator and Senior Counsel at the Washington State Healthcare Authority (HCA) and is currently based in Washington. The Contracts Administrator leads a team of 37 contracting and procurement professionals, negotiates and signs contracts on behalf of the agency, for the State’s Medicaid, data governance, behavioral health and recovery, school employees, state employees, retiree benefits programs and more. She is also the agency lead on the Governor's Subcabinet on Business Diversity.Alyson founded the AWS Legal EMEA Products team in London. Prior to her time at AWS, she founded the in-house Legal team at AWS Elemental, an Amazon Web Services company. After the AWS acquisition of Elemental in 2015, her AWS role expanded to include Products Counsel responsibilities for the Content Delivery, Networking, Perimeter Protection and Media Services teams at AWS in Seattle. Alyson's versatile legal affairs experience includes working with tech companies and growth stage startup's, large government agencies, law firms and international non-profits, and during which she has specialized in mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, complex technology transactions, licensing, open source software, security assurance, compliance, law enforcement and government contracting matters. Alyson is admitted to practice law in California, Washington, and Oregon.
