As Inventory Manager, I'm responsible for managing and ordering parts from a variety of vendors,transferring parts to different warehouses, managing and reconciling physical inventory counts, P&Lanalysis, cutting costs and negotiating pricing on both parts and freight logistics. I am also responsiblefor managing and reorganizing the Woodland Hills warehouse.During my time with Glide Rite, I have reorganized their catalog of parts (approximately 300 SKUs),assigned part #'s, published an inventory manual, handled drop shipments and general distribution forspecific programs. I identified parts that could be purchased in China and managed cost cuttingmeasures that would decrease their overall freight spend. I analyzed and improved Harmonized TaxCodes that were being used for imported products. I anticipated parts usage to ensure inventory onhand at the lowest cost and created strong relationships with strategic partners.I was responsible also for handling issues with the DMV (BIT inspections on fleet trucks), replacingplates, IRP registration, and managing DOT driver documentation and medical card requirements.
