I often hear my family, friends, and new acquaintances say “I was never very good at history in school.” My driving ambition is to find new ways of sharing history so that no one I meet ever has to feel that way again. To me, history is not just a succession of facts, but a series of stories that bind together to create a rich tapestry of perspectives. Everyday I go to work eager to make the people and places of the past connect to lives and experiences today.I work collaboratively with an amazing, passionate team to produce printed publications, digital content, educational activities, and museum exhibit design. While it takes many different perspectives to make a truly impactful product, I am proud of the specialized skills I bring to the table.I am an experienced researcher. I have researched at a variety of institutions both public and private. My research has provided new, untold histories.I enjoy writing, and finding the best words and organization to provide clarity for readers.I love finding new ways to present and share history with people of all ages. Nothing inspires me more than helping someone discover something new about the past that brings meaning and understanding to their lives.
