I started this internship by getting my license in life insurance as well as health and accident insurance. I then went through a week-long training session to really understand how the business works and what will be expected of me. Once all of this was completed I was prepared to create my own business by creating my own client base and utilizing joint work partners to help me grow my knowledge and practice. I also met with my coach weekly to go over numbers and with a mentor weekly to go over the business. Throughout my time at Northwestern Mutual I was able to continue learning new techniques and heard from a ton of different speakers via zoom meetings. This experience grew me not only as someone who is going to work full time in a business position but also allowed me to mature more as a person.
