Traveled to four sites throughout the Great Lakes region and to New York’s Adirondack State Park to conduct research on two wildlife toxicology projects. Handled 120 birds to collect body measurements and blood samples to assess birds’ health. Analyzed data to determine if the birds continued to show effects of chemical contamination. Co-authored and presented results at Van Andel Research Institute in Grand Rapids, MI and at the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry conference in Boston, MA.

Supervised and developed relationships with 42 female students in an on-campus residence hall. Established a strong community with a resident director and a team of five resident assistants. Collaborated with residence hall leaders to plan and organize three events for the 300 students living within the residence hall. Enforced on-campus living guidelines within the residence hall.
