We Thrive Together has started a Social Isolation and Loneliness initiative throughout the Mahoning Valley. They strive to decrease Social Isolation and Loneliness among individuals ages 50 and over. As project manager of We Thrive Together, Alyssa practices her marketing skills in always trying to get more people involved with the organization. She also organizes many events including socials, fundraisers, meetups, and online programming. Alyssa is also always working on creating content, to create a more robust website and social media page. To ensure that We Thrive Together members have more resources available to them and provide them with a more robust experience.

Cakes by Alyssa is a small business created by Alyssa Covert, it is mainly run through her Facebook page @CakesbyAlyssa3. Alyssa creates custom cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, etc. all made from scratch. Cakes by Alyssa has created delicious treats for many different events including weddings, birthdays, baby showers, bridal showers, holidays, several company events, and many more.

Working with YBI portfolio compnaies on marketing reasearch, social media marketing, informational reasearch, and cold calling.Marketing: Contributing content to YBI portfolio compnay website, woking on social media marketing for various social media pages, and cold calling companies to promote business.Learning: Participated in start-up and business development meetings with the YBI staff and YBI porfolio company owners.

Provide the food and beverage need to 100+ L'uva Bella customers per shift in a formal dining setting. Profecitent in problem solving, communicating with customers, and working in a high stress environment. Also have accuired the skills of wine paring knowledge and upselling techniques.
