I am Alyssa Ford, an honors sophomore psychology scholar at Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University. I am deeply committed to pursuing a career as a forensic psychologist in a juvenile setting. My passion lies in youth development and ensuring equal access to mental health resources for all. I believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive and overcome the challenges they face.My journey so far has been enriched by my internships with HBCU First and Breakthrough Birmingham. At Breakthrough I gained valuable experience and insights into the importance of youth mental health advocacy and support. These experiences have solidified my dedication to becoming an advocate for others and have fueled my extreme interest in behavioral psychology.I am eager to connect with like-minded individuals who share my vision for a more equitable and supportive environment for youth mental health.
