--Postdoc in the Nelson Lab at the Boyce Thompson Institute--My doctoral work focused on murine and human immunogenetics, characterizing the genetic and molecular mechanism regulating the transcription of the Ets1 gene in B lymphocytes. However, as a postdoctoral researcher, I am taking the opportunity to shift my focus to plant genomics in order to better align my work with my personal and professional interests. My current project focuses on using high-throughput techniques, including phenotyping and proteomic screens, to make functional predictions for putative peptides encoded in [presumably misannotated] Arabidopsis long non-coding RNAs. This work is funded by an NSF PGRP postdoctoral research fellowship. I also collaborate with researchers locally at Cornell and internationally, applying my computational skills to various bulk and single cell RNA-seq projects.
