I graduated from Butler University in May 2024 with a major in youth and community development, and a minor in sports coaching. I am currently a graduate student at Bradley University pursuing a master's degree in professional school counseling, set to graduate in May 2027. In the meantime, I am gaining valuable experience working as a youth enrichment instructor at an elementary school for before and after school care through the YMCA. This role has taught me the profound value of fostering positive relationships and creating a supportive environment for children. By engaging with them daily, I have learned how crucial it is to build trust, provide encouragement, and tailor support to each child's unique needs, all of which are essential skills I will carry into my future career as a school counselor. Once I have obtained my master's degree, I am looking toward working at a high school as a school counselor.
