I am a hardworking, determined individual with a positive, bright personality who is always ready to embrace a challenge.I am currently in my third and final year at Monash University studying a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Media and Communications. This course enabled me to develop a great understanding of the media and the major role in plays in our society. I have developed excellent communication skills as well as made many new connections. I have completed a variety of Units ranging from photojournalism to marketing. As a creative individual I hope to pursue a career in event management (planning) , social media marketing or photography in the future.For the past 6 months I have been working at a clothing boutique By Soho which recently moved stores and changed names to Oak and Bay. This job has enabled me to develop skills in fashion merchandising which requires skilful advertising and the ability to create original eye-catching designs. My creative mind and fashion knowledge helps with product positioning and being able to create visually pleasing merchandise displays to attract customers attention. I have developed great organisational skills and the ability to manage my time and work well under pressure. My friendly nature creates a welcoming environment for all customers who enter the store. I have danced for over 14 years and am currently dancing with the Monash Cheer and Dance club. I am a part of the Lyrical, Pom and Jazz teams. Together we compete in state and national competitions which requires lots of motivation and determination. Going to training each week shows that I am team orientated and very discipline.My love for dancing resulted in me teaching young children ballet. At tiny tutus I use my background dance knowledge and excellent verbal communication skills to engage the young kids. Encouraging the children to learn basic ballet steps shows my strong leadership skills and ability to take initiative.
