Alyssa J. Morrow is an award-winning Customs Compliance Leader who manages compliance operations in accordance with US Customs Laws and regulations. Her broad-spectrum experience, which includes working for service providers and importers in corporate environments, enables her to bring in-depth knowledge to all aspects of a customs transaction—from letters of credit creation through delivery to end customer. Alyssa is a subject-matter expert in the classification of aerospace products and excels at interpreting engineering drawings; she also is proficient in trade law regulations, harmonized tariff classifications, supply chain, vendor management, risk assessment and government relations. As a Custom Compliance Operations Specialist for GE Healthcare, Alyssa managed import operations and five customs brokers for US and Canada, along with a global third-party vendor that classifies 150K+ products annually. Previously, she served as Classification Leader for General Electric’s Global Operations Center, where she managed a third-party vendor that assigns 1.3M global classifications for six GE businesses. She also oversaw the work of 80+ contingent staff to ensure on-time classifications, prevent shipment delays at ports in up to 200 countries and adhere to KPIs.
