Help support the Head Bilingual Teacher by providing English to Primary students ages 8-12 through tutoring, lessons and activities in a Bilingual classroom. The main focus is to help students with literacy, grammar, and fluency.

Spent the summer living on campus, working as a mentor to high school students from the United States and abroad. Responsible for the safety and well-being of students.Lived in residence with students of the same sex and are directly responsible for a group of approximately ten. Directly supervised student conduct, discipline, health and safety. Other responsibilities included: managing hall dynamics to ensure a positive residence environment, establishing effective communications with students, leading activities and trips during the extracurricular portion of the program and serving as a student information resource. Also lead extracurricular programming such as: athletics, film screenings, talent shows, and dances.

Independently instructing Kindergarteners ages 5 to 7. Daily lesson planning, implemented and taught; pre reading skills, alphabet and literacy, vocabulary, role-play and storytelling, art, music and P.E. Created the students’ monthly newsletter and wrote monthly reports on each student’s behavior and progress. Also, taught the Elementary first grade after school class. Independently taught elementary level reading, vocabulary, writing and speaking. Helped to create and build the curriculum for both Kindergarten and Elementary English programs.

Leading and communicating between the Korean and Foreign staff members. Organizing events with the Korean staff and effectively distributing the information to foreign staff members regarding important school events and meetings. Independently creating monthly speaking tests for all the English levels at the school. Also held teaching responsibilities such as independently teaching Korean Elementary students ESL. Roles include studying daily pronunciation, vocabulary, comprehension and grammar.
