-Responsible for building rapport with customers, answering their questions, understanding their needs and guiding them towards suitable products. Also recommending an alternative when their desired product is unavailable. -Creating visually appealing product displays, making sure the shelves are fully stocked and the most recent promotional signage is displayed.-Staying up to date on the newest products so I can demo them to the customers and educate them about the main scent notes and additional product knowledge.

-Cleaning the exterior of appliances, wiping down countertops, backsplash, cabinet fronts, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning baseboards and windows.-While this job may not directly align with Interior Design related jobs, it provided me with valuable opportunities to engage with clients and visit their homes. This experience allowed me to gain insights into various design styles, interact with clients from diverse backgrounds, and observe current trends in home design.

Transferrable skills from teaching:-Creativity: Teachers have to create engaging and innovative lesson plans, while interior designers come up with unique and aesthetically pleasing design solutions for clients. -Problem-solving: Teachers have to identify challenges that students faced in their learning and find solutions to help them overcome these obstacles. Similarly, interior designers encounter various design challenges and must find practical and creative solutions to address them.-Attention to detail: Teachers have to pay close attention to the progress of each student and ensure that they understood the subject matter. Likewise, Interior Designers have to be detail-oriented to consider various design elements, materials, and measurements to create cohesive and functional spaces as an interior designer.-Active listening: Teachers are skilled at listening to their students to understand their needs and concerns. In interior design, active listening is crucial to grasp a client's vision, preferences, and requirements.-Time Management:Teachers must effectively manage their time to meet curriculum deadlines and plan lessons. Interior designers need strong time management skills to adhere to project schedules and deliver on time.-Adaptability: Teaching often requires adapting to diverse learning styles and unexpected classroom situations. Similarly, interior designers must adapt to different client preferences, project scopes, project delays, and evolving design trends.
