Since 1968, the Boulder Outdoor Survival School – known to most simply as BOSS – has delivered life-changing, wilderness-based experiences to adventurous people from around the world. “Know more, carry less” is one of our core philosophies and at BOSS, students are taught how to survive and even thrive with minimal gear in the remote wild places of southern Utah. As a result of their time on the trail with us, people gain competency in the wilderness and confidence in themselves.

Built and designed three different apps after delving into the ins-and-outs of JavaScript full stack development (Node.js, Express, Sequelize & PostgreSQL, React, React Native, Redux, HTML5, CSS3, Google Maps APIs) and computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, big-O analysis).On a team of 3:-Phantom Racer- a React Native application for iOS that allows runners to virtually compete against one another and track their routes, times, and fitness levels. -Bons- an e-commerce web application for particularly mediocre amateur art, jewelry, and home decor.Individual project:-CommuteSwap- a job search site that uses a Google Maps API to help users find that job with the wonderfully short commute.

Facilitate the process of obtaining input from educators- input that informs the development of our products- by arranging brief interviews between teachers and eSpark product managers and engineers. Assist with the expansion of our partnerships with school districts by identifying and reaching out to school administrators.

Set up and customized Salesforce and instructed the ABS sales team on its uses and features. Spearheaded efforts to clean up and organize the data in the company's legacy systems and managed a smooth transition from those systems to Salesforce, allowing the new system to go live earlier than expected. Is currently responsible for ensuring that all information in Salesforce is up-to-date and accurate, and serves as the de facto Salesforce Administrator when requests or issues with the system arise.Began automating routine processes for both the Estimating Department and the Project Managers shortly after completing training on the company's pricing software (Comsense) and PDF readers (Bluebeam, ABBYY). Sped-up several vital Project Management tasks that were formerly manually-executed and prone to inaccuracies by using functions and features of Excel. Enhanced efforts to coordinate the work of the sales team and the estimators by creating user-friendly Excel spreadsheets for project bid schedules and estimator workloads.

Lead ad hoc, international teams of musicians as the vocalist and rhythm guitarist at promotional events and corporate gatherings in the Tianjin area and neighboring provinces. Helped bands meet clients'​ expectations by running rehearsals and selecting appropriate set lists (featuring everything from rock to jazz to classic Chinese ballads) while adapting to clients' often ambiguous and ever-changing demands. Built up strong relationships with local Chinese and foreign musicians, leading to offers for regular employment at Harley Davidson and a number of high-end hotels, cafes, and touristic areas with Lucifer Music group.

Planned and led advanced level EFL listening and speaking sessions for Chinese high school students preparing to attend US universities. Succeeded in helping students take on a more active role in the class environment by prompting them to ask questions and regularly engage in discussions and debates.Broadened students' understanding of American culture and the wider world by incorporating audiovisual materials (news stories, TED Talks) into their regular coursework, and by giving them time to share with the class what they learned while exploring online resources independently.

Co-organized and ran regional and national EFL workshops with MEDUCA. Directed well-received workshops on student assessment, tools and strategies in limited resource classrooms, and PowerPoint in the EFL classroom. Developed a year long curriculum of EFL level-appropriate lesson plans and PowerPoints for Calabazo’s middle school students, in addition to teaching primary level EFL for a year.Toured the sites and schools of the TE (Teaching English) volunteers in the Eastern region as a TE Coordinator, facilitating meetings with volunteers’ counterparts and school officials and reporting on the successes and challenges each volunteer met with at site.Conducted a successful trial run of Peace Corp’s first e-book club for Panamanian teenagers. Brought together a small group of students, few of whom had read an entire novel before, and facilitated weekly discussions for the assigned reading (Orwell's 1984) and free reading of other books on their Kindles. Ran weekly beginner-level guitar, trumpet, and trombone lessons for elementary and middle school students. Instructed them on the technical aspects of playing and the basics of music notation and theory, using music selected by the students as content for the lessons.

Ran two-hour small-group sessions for ACT/SAT Prep and college application assistance. Worked primarily with Korean and Korean-American students on brainstorming for, writing, and proof-reading their college application essays and honing their reading skills.

Supported the English teacher in lesson preparation and occasionally taught independently. Designed and implemented classroom art projects that served as segues to brief lessons about aspects of American culture.Independently organized weekly beginner-level guitar lessons for groups of interested students, teaching not only basic skills and techniques but also basic methods of musical notation and theory, in both Spanish and English.

Used the university’s research documentation system to find, pull, and organize files. Copied, scanned, bound, and filed documents in a timely manner for committee meetings.

Managed all communications between the director, editor, and 20+ contributors for the release of "Mandate for Change: Policies and Leadership for 2009 and Beyond". Organized information for a petition by entering data into excel spreadsheets.Wrote book reviews and announcements for upcoming events and guest speakers.

Sorted mail and used mail room equipment to process postage for outgoing mail.Copied, organized, and bound legal documents.
