In August of 2022, Alyssa was hired by Barrington Community School District 220 as a 8th Grade Mathematics Teacher. Alyssa taught 5 classes; 2 sections of 8th Grade Math and 3 section of Acclerated/Algebra 1. Alyssa implemented the Connected Mathematics 3 curriculum in her classroom, utilizing research based practices from CMP as well as Peter Liljedahl (author of Building Thinking Classrooms). In her role, Alyssa taught supported classes with Special Education teachers as well as English as a Second Language teachers.

Alyssa began this role for the 2022 Spring Girls Water Polo season. Alyssa has helped introduce the game of water polo to many new players. She has not only helped athletes improve their skills, but also their understanding of the game.

In August of 2021, Alyssa was hired by Barrington Community School District 220 as a High School Mathematics Teacher. Alyssa taught 4 classes; 3 sections of Algebra 1 and 1 section of Algebra 2/Trig. One section of Algebra 1 was taught with another math teacher - this is to support students that benefit from the co-taught classroom environment.

Alyssa has been a swim instructor and a swim team coach since May of 2015. She works with children of all ages, ranging from about 3 years old to instructing some adults. Alyssa has worked with all types of children, including a few that have autism. Alyssa knows how to get the children to listen and pay attention, as well as incorporate different activities to make the lesson/practice enjoyable for the children.

Alyssa has been working as a part of the Midtown Athletic Club Palatine Team since May 2015. She started off as a lifeguard, working most days to keep the pool and the members safe. She stepped into the head lifeguard position in May of 2017, where she delegated tasks to other members of the lifeguard team, as well as make sure the pool is a happy and healthy environment.

As Chapter Treasurer, Alyssa makes a budget for the year. She was responsible for making sure all members pay their dues before initiation, and worked with the President and Secretary to register new members. With the rest of the exec board, she helped select new members and run initiation and elections.

Alyssa was chosen as the President of the Panhellenic Council at Bradley University. She oversaw a board of directors that are in charge of planning different events for the Panhellenic community at Bradley University.

Alyssa has been a member of Chi Omega's Mu Delta Chapter since August 2017. In 2019, Alyssa served on the executive board as Vice President. She dealt with reviewing chapter bylaws and academic grades. Alyssa also stood in for the President when necessary, and helped implement different programs within the chapter.
