I am a 3rd year Apparel Merchandising and Management student at Cal Poly Pomona with an emphasis in Retail management seeking a Summer 2022 fashion retail internship. I have been immersed in the fashion retail world since I participated in the Nordstrom Ambassador program in 2017. Since then I have been able to start working in the retail world through cafes such as Philz and Starbucks. I have also had the opportunity to model, style and set assist, creative direct, digitally design clothing and retail displays, as well as sew. My goal is to make sure I am knowledgeable in every possible area in the industry so I can understand exactly what needs to be done to get the garment from pre production and visual board to sales rack.I am a detail oriented, organized, disciplined, people oriented person who is comfortable with number crunching. At Philz, I am helping monitor our inventory and analyze what is selling the most to see what more needs to be ordered. Here we often have to carefully observe daily sales to more accurately project the quantity that needs to be in our next order. I also help upsell our coffee beans in order to meet specific sales goals. I also intern as a personal assistant for photoshoots by helping with setup, lighting, and styling on set. Here I have to be observant of what is being photographed at all times so I can make adjustments and also be a quick problem solver for any kind fo wardrobe or prop malfunctions. At Cal Poly Pomona I am on the E-board for our Fashion Society club as their Agricultural representative. I am required to takes notes at every meeting for our college to report back to my team members as well as be a messanger for the club president to announce any upcoming events. I am also the model coordinator for our yearly fashion show where I am responsible for any model and designer relations as well as recruiting models and hair and makeup stylists for the day of the show.
