While the permanent POM is on family leave for 5 months, I am responsible for the successful development, implementation, and evaluation of Safe Passage prevention and outreach programming. I work under the supervision of the Community Engagement Director to lead the team of staff responsible for comprehensive violence prevention programming, community outreach, and maintaining collaborations supporting adult and youth populations. I work with the agency’s leadership team to ensure that all staff implementing outreach and prevention programming are appropriately trained and supported in their activities. I manage most administrative aspects of prevention and outreach programming. I am also responsible for providing support and supervision to staff involved in the Healthy Relationships Grant program. As part of the Community Engagement Department, I provide outreach and training and contribute to agency-wide communication strategies and content.

As the Prevention and Trans+ Outreach Coordinator, I am an integral part of Safe Passage’s efforts to reach and engage survivors and our community with a special emphasis on prevention programming and outreach to marginalized populations, focusing specifically on transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming communities. I work to develop and implement data-driven prevention and outreach activities in the community, with an eye toward continuous feedback and quality improvement. I also work collaboratively with the Community Engagement team to successfully meet its comprehensive community engagement goals, facilitate training and contribute to communication strategies. I also hold administrative responsibilities related to program coordination and implementation of surveys and other program tools.

Responsible for outreach to improve awareness of and access to direct services for transgender, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming survivors of domestic violence. In collaboration with other local organizations, I offer prevention and awareness trainings about domestic violence, especially in the LGBTQ+ community.
