While at Target Corp, I supported the work of HR Directors. I acted as HR Specialist to process KMG+ talent planning, interviews and process hiring documents for Distribution, TTS and TA. I supported my leaders on a daily basis by keeping their calendar up-to-date, submit director and team expenses and respond to important business partner emails in a timely manner. I organize Distribution, TTS and TA talent events by arranging travel for candidates, daily schedule of events, order catering and booking conference rooms. When there was a new hire, I would set up onboarding for the new Team Members. In addition, I was given the task to "audit" their expense reports to ensure that expense reporting was accurately expensed to my leader's accounts by partnering with financial services to update field distribution HR's expense centers to reflect the correct account, which saved hundreds on my leaders' centers each month.

While working in the Minnesota Legislature with the Senate, my responsibilities included handling all incoming and outgoing constituent correspondence, along with case management for constituents facing hardships by partnering with government agencies to provide assistance. Additionally, I would write weekly newsletter updates for the senator's website, local media (newspapers, radio and TV) and constituents. Part of that work also entailed organizing townhall meetings in the district for the Senator to hear constituent concerns and input. One of the most dynamic parts of my position was researching current and prospective legislation for committee meetings and floor debates.

Bemidji, Minnesota

As a student assistant, I prepared official written correspondence for the president to faculty, students, community members and government officials. I coordinated annual events hosted by the president for alumni, donors and faculty, like the annual "Welcome Back Breakfast." I arrange state, national and international travel itineraries for official presidential visits to board and donor meetings. One of the most important activities however was to be the face and point of contact for all faculty, staff and student inquiries into the office.

Bemidji, Minnesota

My position was in charge of organizing and preparing students and faculty for the various study abroad trips BSU offered. I would create promotional materials to market and promote the international opportunities available to students through recruiting efforts at campus seminars, fairs and classroom presentations. After a student expressed interest, I would advise the student on the study abroad requirements and financial obligations they would need to follow. After the students were signed up, I scheduled multi-day workshop sessions with program directors to prepare students for their study abroad experience. During the travel preparations, I managed sensitive student data for travel arrangements and provided the data to travel services to book international travel for all participants. Frequently, I would assist the international students studying on campus by helping with orientations, seminars and ensure paperwork was up-to-date.
