The Brain Exercise Initiative is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that uses simple math, reading aloud, and writing exercises as an intervention to improve cognitive function in those with Alzheimer's Disease. Our work is based on the research done by Japanese neuroscientist, Dr. Ryuta Kawashima, who has found that simple math exercises and reading aloud for just 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week can have a positive impact on memory for those with Alzheimer's Disease.• Led the chapter by hosting and planning weekly executive meetings as well as general meetings for 80+ members• Expanded the search and created virtual opportunities to volunteer at Senior Centers• Organized and published a website as well as weekly emails to members
