The fashion industry is very influential and has many opportunities to grow as an individual. I love how fashion acts as a platform for one to express themselves. These are a couple of reasons why I decided to pursue a degree in Merchandising/Digital Retailing. The customer’s journey is a crucial aspect to the retail industry, and I want to be able to make an impact on whether that be in-person or online. I have experience in HTML coding, and engagement with e-commerce platforms such as Magento to develop websites. I want to improve my understanding of the digital commerce field, so I received my certification in google analytics. Over two years, I have worked at LOFT. It has provided an opportunity to interact with customers, and give personable experiences to highlight the brand's culture. During, I have gained insight into visual merchandising tools and style concepts. I became a sales lead overtime and handled MOD operations when overseeing the store.I recently interned at a retail startup called Front Door Fashion. I got the chance to work with the marketing department and was able to make an impact on the company. As a creative marketing intern, I created a marketing plan filled with ideas and concepts that will be used this year. The short months I was with the company, I was able to grow their following on social media. I researched and showcased valuable analytical skills to better understand the audience.
