Hello, my name is Alyssa Dolan. I am currently attending Xavier University with a major in economics at the Williams College of Business. I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, and always enjoyed watching sports with my family there. I was the oldest sibling growing up, so I always had someone looking up to me. Not only did I have a leadership role in my family, but also in school, when I ran for my grade school and high school cross country and track teams. In high school, I was the captain of both my cross country and track teams. Currently, I am the president of the Xavier University running club and have been a member of the club since I was a freshman in the fall of 2021.I have six years of experience with the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo working with their guest experiences in operations. On a daily basis, I would be interacting with guests, ensuring they are enjoying their time at the zoo and enhancing my communication skills and problem solving skills. I also worked for the Ohio Auditors of State in the summer of 2024 as an intern. We would travel to different cities in the Northeast Region of Ohio and look over clients financial statements and ensure their audit is done properly. From this experience, I learned how to pay great attention to detail and holding great communication with the clients as well as the other auditors performing the audit alongside me. I also worked for the Follett Corporation at the All For One Shops at Xavier University. There, students are able to buy their Xavier merchandise as well as snacks and drinks for their studies. From this experience, I enhanced my communication skills and gained customer service skills. Currently, I am working for Taste of Belgium in Over-The-Rhine in Cincinnati, Ohio, where I am a hostess/server's assistant/barista.After my undergraduate at Xavier University, I am looking to attend law school and earn my juris doctorate, where I hope to either go into contract law or familial law.
