Creating national action to end gendered violence

Each day the advertising we produce and consume is shaping our beliefs and attitudes, reinforcing stereotypes, and influencing who and what we value. As part of this national project I work with the advertising industry, Government, regulators and the community, to transform advertising so that is represents and celebrates all people - from all genders and backgrounds.

Project management, strategic advice and stakeholder engagement for the national Raise the Rate campaign. This campaign aims to increase the level of Newstart and other support payments which has not seen a real increase in 25 years. Realising this change is key to alleviating poverty and creating a fairer, more equitable Australia.

CEO and Chair of the Board of PARSA which represents the 11,000+ postgraduate students at the Australian National University. We have a three-fold mandate of ensuring: welfare, advocacy and community building activities for postgraduate students. As a volunteer run organisation for students and by students, I manage a staff team of 15 and core volunteer team of 30.

I was elected as the inaugural Women's Officer, representing postgraduate students at the Australian National University. I lead a campaign to create this position given the inequalities experienced by postgraduate women within Australian Universities.
