Alyssa has spent the last 10 years engaged in non-profit development having worked with a multitude of organizations such as the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, and the Peace Corps. While her responsibilities have varied throughout different positions, her area of focus has always been in Youth and Community Development, specifically program management, curriculum development, and volunteer outreach. Furthermore, she has dedicated years to obtaining higher education to expand her knowledge and skills in areas related to development. Obtaining a Bachelor of Science in International Affairs allowed her to better understand the cause and effect of many systemic issues both nationally and abroad. The addition of her two graduate degrees, a Master of Art in Conflict Resolution and a Master of Art in Sustainable Development has expanded her skills and training on how to create systems of change to affect these issues, specifically at a grassroots level through avenues such as community organization and policy advocacy.Alyssa is passionate and knowledgeable about many areas of the development field including both nonprofits and government organizations and strives to make a positive impact in the communities around her using her variety of experiences and skills.
