I earned my Bachelors Degree in Mass Communications with a minor in Social Science from Winthrop University in May 2018. I was promoted to Director of Digital Strategy for the University of Louisville Athletics Department in September 2023, after serving as Assistant Director of Creative Communications since Sept. 2021. In my current role I oversee the Creative Communications team, a group of three creative minds who service all sports at the University. I also lead the digital strategy for Go Cards, Louisville Football, Rowing and Lacrosse.I previously served as the Assistant Director of Communications for Winthrop Athletics. In this role, I served as the SID for Women's Basketball, Lacrosse, Volleyball, Baseball and Cross Country. I assisted with the running of our social media accounts and live-tweeting during games and events, while also assisting with the brainstorming and execution of marketing plans. I was the on-camera host of Everstand at Home, a Zoom series that looks into the lives of student-athletes and coaches while they are away from the playing field. I worked closely on department-wide fundraisers and events while building relationships with donors, university faculty and coaches. I began my career at Sporting News as an intern in Aug. 2018. During my internship I created content strategies to best promote original content, managed all Sporting News social media accounts, covered live sporting events, conducted interviews and produced original pieces of writing. I created and implemented a successful marketing strategy for NBA All-Star Weekend.As a member of the team full-time, I have owned the MLB and combat sports channels. I created and executed a strategy to create brand awareness. I continue to create and edit social-friendly content for Twitter, Instagram and YouTube, cover live events and produce original pieces of written content.
