I'm currently a senior at UNC Wilmington pursuing a degree in Public Health with a concentration in Pre-Clinical. I am an intern at Mednorth Health Center which is a full service health care provider to residents in New Hanover and nearby counties. My duties are to assist patients in care plan goals, perform patient education, patient engagement in care, refer patients to resources, and document medical records. I have recently become a CNA and soon to be working at Bradley Creek Health Center. I also have experience in customer service working as a part-time cashier at Harris Teeter Grocery store for about four years.My co-workers, classmates, and professors have described me as hardworking, organized, and a reliable person. I have had a lot of experience in leadership positions in various clubs such as UNCW's Honors Scholar Association as secretary and a study abroad ambassador. I also serve as the student representative for the Research Advisory Board. I will be graduating in May, 2021 and plan to pursue a career in Public Health or as a Physician's Assistant. I am excited to pursue a career in which I can improve the health of others and make a difference in their quality of life.
