Before you read my crafted bio below – I must confess, I'm not good at LinkedIn. I am not good at "LinkedIn speak" and I'm not the best at sharing milestones, ladders climbed or shattered ceilings. What I am great at is relationships, collaborating, and staying curious. I love people and I love solving problems – visual or complex. For the most part, my career has been crafted without thinking about how a job, title, or brand looks on a list or CV. Instead, I've been drawn to projects, people and problems that have made me feel ... excited, supported, curious, energized, happy, and so much more. I'm much more than what I do for a career, but I love this career that I've created.–––Alyssa Yuhas (she/her) is a hopeful designer and future thinker. She specializes in visual strategic design through a systems-, futures-, and human-centred perspective. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with exciting, innovative brands engaged in meaningful work, from online creators to Nike and the United Nations (Canada), helping to move them from idea to compelling result.Recently, Alyssa saw a way she could take her work to the next level. She returned to school and began studying a Masters of Design in strategic foresight and innovation – which she recently graduated from. As a future futurist, Alyssa researches topics around Web3, social media, the creator economy, consumer culture and more to help businesses stay agile, community-oriented and exciting.Currently, she works a few days a week with Arcade as Creative Director and is the mastermind behind Scan Club, a bi-weekly futures exercises to stay current and relevant in a changing world. When she isn’t at Arcade, she collaborates with creatives and consultancies tackling complex issues and visual problems.
