I have been fortunate to experience many roles in my career from summer intern to startup CEO and many roles in between.I am a founder of Alvesta Co, Zilowatt LLC, and Solar Co-Up LLC. Three of my ideas helped to accelerate the growth of the internet: the active optical cable (AOC), quad-based optical transceiver (precursor to today's QSFP), and vertical oxidation for high-volume manufacturing of VCSELs for optical communication and 3D sensing. Over 50 patents in the optical communication space. Established mentorship and executive training programs while at HP, Alvesta, JDSU, and Lumentum.I am using my time currently to help develop the next generation of diverse executive leadership, mentor university students interested in tech, and serving on the Boards of UC Santa Barbara, Brainy Monkey, and StartUC.

Developed and released to production 1.3um V-groove laser, 1.3um LED, GaAs photodetector, and 850nm GaAs LEDs. The Optical Communication Division and it's HP Labs counterpart, are responsible for discovering and developing a majority of the optical transceiver technologies widely adopted globally today. The division was later spun off as part of Agilent and later into Avago Technologies.
